Request for Proposal for Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program Services – RFP #2025-001

The Area Agency on Aging of Central Florida, Inc. d/b/a Senior Resource Alliance is soliciting proposals from qualified providers to deliver Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP) services to eligible elderly households experiencing energy-related crises.

Interested applicants must submit a Notice of Intent to Apply by April 8, 2025. Submission of the Notice of Intent is required to be eligible to submit a full proposal.

Full proposals must be received no later than 5:00 PM (Eastern Time) on April 15, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.

All inquiries regarding this RFP must be submitting in writing via e-mail no later than April 4, 2025. Responses to inquiries will be issued on April 7, 2025.

Responses to Inquiries

Inquiry #1: “Can you please let me know if you have an estimated number of elders, or a list of elders in Single Family Home, Condos, Apartments, Mobile Homes.”

Response #1: The issuing agency does not maintain or distribute a list of elders by housing type.

Inquiry #2: “For Outreach, is there a more detailed description?”

Response #2: Outreach should ensure eligible elders in all housing types—single-family homes, condos, apartments, and mobile homes—are informed about the Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP). Strategies may include printed materials, direct contact, and targeted efforts in underserved areas.
